Everything for the Pond but the H2O
In 2009, we began a longterm contract with Coastal Pond Supply, one of the largest suppliers of pond and fountain equipment worldwide. Our primary responsibility was website management, but it evolved into so much more!
Though the pond supply business itself is not glamorous or glitzy, an elegant website layout with a user-friendly design makes for a better front-end experience. Their site was built on the open-source Zen Cart platform. We kept their product lines updated and continued to add new items to their extensive selection of more than 3,500 products already online.
We created created all of their artwork for both Internet and print and ran ads promoting their company in major industry publications. We developed and promoted local events involving contractors, distributors, retailers, and the general public. We developed and printed their product catalog. If it involved graphic design, promotion, or Internet, we were up for the challenge!
Social media-wise, we created their company Google Places page and kept it updated. We also created and managed their YouTube channel and blog.
We also redesigned and restructured the entire website layout. This is one of the sites earlier incarnations:
Some water features require computer programing to display their spectacular effects. Here is a spectacular indoor fountain we programed that was on display at a major trade show in 2001. (The fountain was later sold for over $20,000.) It continues to be one of the most popular laminar jets videos on YouTube.
